Why We Built the Slower Version

Search for an emotional support animal letter and you will find dozens of sites offering one for $39 in five minutes, alongside a registry entry, an ID card and a vest. Almost none of that has any standing in law. What happens next is predictable: a tenant pays, sends the document to a leasing office, and the leasing office — which has seen a hundred of them — rejects it. The tenant is out the money and further from keeping their animal than when they started.

Meanwhile the law is genuinely on the side of a lot of these people. The Fair Housing Act has protected assistance animals in housing for decades. The obstacle is rarely the statute; it is documentation nobody can verify, written by nobody in particular.

So we built the version that takes two days instead of five minutes: a real clinical intake, a mental-health professional licensed in the applicant's own state, a consultation, and a letter that names the professional who signed it and the license a landlord can check. Some people are declined. That is the trade — and it is what makes an approval mean something.

What We Won't Do

• Sell registrations, certificates, ID cards or vests. No legal standing, so no.
• Guarantee an outcome. A guaranteed approval is a mental-health professional who is not assessing.
• Pay mental-health professionals per approval. They are paid for their time, whichever way they decide.
• Overstate the law. No claims about flights, no claims about restaurant access, no claims that a landlord can never say no.
• Sell your data. No advertising partners, no data brokers, no marketing lists.
• Auto-renew you. A reminder before expiry, and you decide.

What We Are — and What We Are Not

TheHealifyPet is a small independent company. The screening platform, support team and clinical operations sit with us; the clinical decisions sit entirely with independently licensed professionals who exercise their own judgment and can decline any file. That separation is deliberate, and it is the reason we cannot promise you a letter, however much we would welcome your business.

We are not a law firm, we do not give legal advice, and where a situation calls for a tenants' rights attorney we say so rather than selling a document instead.
