Declined
If You Are Declined
You are not charged. Your mental-health professional tells you the reason directly and you keep your screening summary. There is nothing to refund because nothing was taken.
Cancellation
If You Cancel Before Your Appointment
Cancel any time before your assessment at no cost. Nothing has been charged at that point.
Errors
If You Were Charged in Error
If a charge appears for a letter that was never issued, email support@thehealifypet.com with the date and the last four digits of the card. We refund these in full.
Limits
What We Do Not Refund
A letter that has been issued reflects work a mental-health professional actually performed, so the assessment fee is not refundable once the letter exists.
We cannot refund on the basis that a housing provider refused your request. That outcome is theirs, not the mental-health professional’s, and we tell you before you start that approval by a landlord is never guaranteed. If you are refused, contact us — your mental-health professional can verify the letter directly, and we will walk you through the HUD complaint process.
Timing
How Long It Takes
Approved refunds are issued within five business days and typically appear on your statement within two further working days, depending on your bank.
